Cheesy Pull Apart Bread

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

Light, fluffy and stuffed with cheese, what more can you ask for in an appetizer? Bread and cheese might just be the world’s perfect match. These Cheesy Pull Apart Breads are so delicious; warm from the oven, dipped in pizza sauce with gooey cheese. They are so fun because you can form them into whatever shape you want. For football season make a football, Christmas make a tree or Halloween and make a pumpkin.

More cheesy must make appetizers: Ranch Cheese Ball, Turkey and Cheese Pull Apart Sliders and Cheesy Garlic Bread sticks.

My main goal is to bring families back to the kitchen table enjoying homemade meals. I don’t want it to feel overwhelming or like it has to be these extravagant meals that use every dish that you own.

Easy dinner recipes for the family: Sloppy Joe Pasta Casserole, Coconut Chicken, One Pot Chicken Parmesan and Creamy Ranch Chicken.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 6 cheese sticks, mozzarella
  • 3 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 12oz jar pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 and prep a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Microwave 1 1/4 cup water for about 40 seconds. Add 2 tsp sugar and 2 tsp yeast to water. Let sit for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, using your dough hook, mix 3 cups of flour and 1 tsp salt.
  4. Once water/yeast mix is bubbly slowly mix it into your flour.
  5. Dust counter and roll dough out into your best rectangle. Using a pizza slicer, slice it into 24 squares.
  6. Cut 6 cheese sticks, cutting them into 4 pieces each.
  7. Place one piece of cheese into one dough square. Folding one side of the square in at a time to cover the cheese. Then roll it between your hands to make it a ball. Repeat until all squares are filled with cheese.
  8. Arrange dough balls on prepped baking sheet. Making sure they are all touching. Let rise on the counter for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Melt 3 Tbsp butter. Mix in 1 Tbsp basil and 1/2 tsp thyme.
  11. Remove from oven and brush butter mix on top of warm rolls. Top with parmesan cheese.
  12. Dip in pizza sauce.
  13. Enjoy!

Tips

The easiest way to cut your cheese sticks is to use scissors. Be sure all your dough balls are touching before baking them. Also, you can draw the shape you want to make on the parchment paper before placing them on the parchment paper i.e. a football or tree.
