|Pumpkin Bread with Chai Cream Cheese Frosting|

If Fall was a bread it would be this! It has all the perfect spice, pumpkin and sweetness that you need. It is the perfect texture of bread with a smooth delicious frosting. It honestly feels like Fall just landed in my kitchen. And if you could only SMELL and TASTE it you would totally understand.

Oh, match it with a hot cup of coffee on a crisp morning, like come on doesn’t that just sound so perfect! This bread has everything you need in your life right now. This recipe yields two loaves. One for you, one to share or keep both!

Homemade Pumpkin Spice: mix these four spices together for your own pumpkin pie spice!

  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp allspice

  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice *see how to make your own above*
  • 15oz pumpkin purée
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup olive oil *you can sub coconut oil or applesauce*
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chai Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 oz plain cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp softened butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice *see how to make your own above*
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 1/2 tsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prep two bread loaf pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl mix 2 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In a separate medium size bowl mix 3 eggs, 1 cup olive oil, 15oz pumpkin purée and 1 tsp vanilla.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour pumpkin batter into both loaf pans. Making them as even as possible.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes. I bake mine for 50 minutes.
  7. While bread is baking make your cream cheese frosting. In a mixing bowl mix together 4oz cream cheese, 3 Tbsp softened butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground allspice, 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice, 1 1/2 tsp milk and 1 tsp vanilla.
  8. Whip frosting together until nice and smooth with no lumps of cream cheese or butter.
  9. When loaves are done baking, let them cool fully in pans. About 15-20 minutes.
  10. Once your bread is cooled completely top generously with your frosting!
  11. Enjoy the sweet taste of fall!
